Currently he lives in Southern Utah with his beautiful wife of 18 years and their 5 children. He has completed several ultra-marathons, including the Wasatch 100, as well as climbed and skied from the summit of the Grand Tetons. He continues to ski with his family whenever possible and even works with the ski patrol at Eagle Point ski resort. Summers are spent rafting, camping, and backpacking throughout the West. Through his time as an Emergency Department Nurse and Physician as well as his experience deployed with the Army and serving as a Flight Surgeon in the Utah Army National Guard, Nate saw first hand the need for increased mental health services. In particular, the need to bring psychedelic medicine to Southern Utah. Dr. Kartchner is passionate about bringing more necessary support, tools, and resources to those suffering from debilitating depression and anxiety.
